Cookie policy
Updated Effective from Version 1.0
1. General provisions
1.1. This Cookie Policy (hereinafter — the «Cookie Policy») describes how cookies and similar technologies are used on the resalt.app website and its subdomains (collectively — the «Site»), which are owned by the Operator of the Resalt Service.
1.2. This Cookie Policy is an integral part of the Privacy Policy. In the event of any conflict between this Cookie Policy and the Privacy Policy, the Privacy Policy shall prevail.
1.3. By using the Site, the User confirms that they have read this Cookie Policy. Consent to the processing of cookies that are not strictly necessary (see clause 3.1) is requested from the User separately (see section 5).
2. What cookies are
2.1. Cookies are small text files that the Site stores on the User’s device (computer, mobile phone, tablet) and reads on subsequent visits to the Site.
2.2. In addition to cookies, the Operator may use similar technologies (collectively referred to below as «cookies»), such as:
- browser local and session storage (localStorage, sessionStorage);
- device identifiers;
- pixels and web beacons.
2.3. Cookies alone do not identify the User as a natural person. However, combined with other data (for example, the Account identifier or IP address), they may enable the Operator to associate activity on the Site with a specific User.
3. Categories of cookies used
3.1. Strictly necessary (technical) cookies — without these the Site cannot function correctly. They do not require User consent.
| Purpose | Examples of data |
|---|---|
| Authentication and session continuity | Session ID, authorization token |
| Security (CSRF protection, suspicious-activity detection) | CSRF token, technical markers |
| Storing interface preferences (language, theme) | Language code, theme flag |
| Correct rendering of the Site on the User’s device | Screen size, device type |
3.2. Analytics cookies — used to understand how Users interact with the Site (which pages they visit, how long they stay, which links they follow). Used to improve the Service. Require User consent.
| Purpose | Examples of data |
|---|---|
| Traffic and behaviour analytics on the Site | IP address, browser identifier (user-agent), page-to-page navigation, session duration, referral source, Yandex Metrica cookie identifiers |
| Detection of technical issues and errors | Browser type, OS version, crash reports |
3.3. Marketing/advertising cookies — as of the effective date of this Policy, the Operator does not use third-party marketing or advertising cookies on the Site. Should any be added in the future, the Operator will update this Cookie Policy and request the User’s corresponding consent.
4. Third parties (recipients of cookie data)
4.1. The analytics cookies described in clause 3.2 are partly collected and processed by the Operator’s partner:
| Recipient | Jurisdiction | Purpose | Data transferred |
|---|---|---|---|
| YANDEX LLC (Yandex Metrica) | Russian Federation | Web analytics | IP address, browser identifier (user-agent), page transitions, cookie identifiers, on-Site events |
4.2. YANDEX LLC processes data within the Russian Federation under its own privacy policy, available on the Yandex Metrica website.
4.3. The Operator does not transfer cookie data to countries that are not on the list of states providing adequate protection of data-subject rights without separate User consent.
5. Managing cookie consent
5.1. Cookie banner. On the first visit to the Site, the User is shown a banner with information about the use of cookies and the option to:
- accept all cookies;
- reject cookies that are not strictly necessary.
5.2. Changing consent. The User may change their choice at any time via the «Cookie Settings» section on the Site or through their browser settings. Revoking consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the revocation.
5.3. Opting out via browser settings. The User may configure their browser to block all or specific cookies, delete cookies already stored, or warn before storing them. Detailed instructions are available in the documentation of the respective browser. Please note: disabling strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the Site to malfunction or become unavailable.
5.4. Yandex Metrica specifics. Opting out of Yandex Metrica is possible through the universal opt-out mechanism published on the Yandex site, as well as by installing the «Yandex Metrica blocker» extension.
6. Cookie retention periods
6.1. Retention periods depend on the type of cookie:
- Session cookies — deleted when the browser is closed;
- Persistent cookies — stored on the User’s device for a set period (from a few days to several years) or until deleted by the User.
6.2. Specific retention periods by category:
- Strictly necessary — for the duration of the session or until the corresponding action ends (signing out of the Account, resetting preferences);
- Analytics — up to 14 months (the standard Yandex Metrica period).
7. User rights
The User has the right to:
- receive information about the cookies used on the Site (this Policy);
- grant or refuse consent to the processing of cookies that are not strictly necessary;
- revoke previously granted consent at any time using the methods described in section 5;
- delete cookies previously stored on their device via browser settings;
- submit requests to the Operator regarding cookie processing to the email address listed in the preamble.
8. Changes to this Cookie Policy
8.1. The Operator may amend this Cookie Policy. The current version is published on the Site at /cookies.
8.2. For material changes affecting the categories of cookies used or the purposes of their processing, the Operator notifies Users via the cookie banner on their next visit to the Site and/or by email (for registered Users) at least 14 calendar days before the changes take effect.
9. Contact information
For questions regarding cookie processing, the User may contact the Operator at support@resalt.app.
